Rethinking the Stencil is a project developed from the graduation work of Masha Egorova at HfG Offenbach, Germany, originally titled What Comes After Reproduction? Rethinking the Stencil as a Tool. The project brings together drawings created through specially developed methods, a publication documenting the process, and a workshop that explores the expanded possibilities of drawing through the use of stencils.
Masha Egorova is an independent designer and researcher based near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Alongside creating graphic work for and within the cultural and educational sectors, she develops her own artistic and research-based practice.
